Step 01
Florists Gather
Florists need to gather on this platform first. Our negotiating power is nothing if we do not gather. What we are doing as an industry is not working for the floral shops. Flower shops are closing. Something needs to change — and the conversation about what that change looks like can only happen when enough florists show up and say they are ready to have it. This is that moment. This is where the gathering begins.
Step 02
Call Your Fellow Florists
Your next step — with the help of your floral staff — is to call florists you know and help us get them on board. Every florist who joins adds weight to the message. Every call you make is an act of leadership for an industry that has been waiting too long for someone to lead. You do not need permission to make that call. You just need to believe that flower shops deserve better — and pick up the phone. And remember — this is a worldwide campaign. This same effort is taking place across the entire world, in every country, in every language, by florists who feel exactly what you feel right now. EXCITEMENT!
Step 03
Growers Follow
Once florists have gathered, growers will join. To our growers — please wait to contribute and only watch at this time. Your time to contribute is coming soon. However, if you want to stay connected right now, you are welcome to contribute as an end user — because we are all end users of cut flowers. Their contributions will also be noticed. Together — florists and growers as the bookends of this industry — the message to the middle becomes impossible to ignore. An industry coming together is not a negotiation. It is a declaration that what is best for the flower shop is what is best for everyone.
Step 04
Meet with the middle
The way to speak to the middle is as a group of world wide florists. Keep the rest the same but remove the word donations and insert on boarding members. And do the same one more time in the last sentence. That is the clear indicator that florists are with us. Apps take millions of dollars to build. The majority of the first phase of donations is sending a message — the money is still important to fund the activities that follow, but the message from florists and growers is what the middle will hear. A donation is not just a financial contribution. It is a vote. It is a voice. It is proof that this industry is ready.
Step 05
Direct Others to This Website
Share this website with everyone you know — florists, suppliers, wholesalers, growers, and flower lovers. Post it in your industry groups. The more people connected to fresh cut flowers who find it, read it, and feel what we all feel — the faster this movement grows. The power of what florists have to say is exactly why we are doing any of this. Help us get more people into the room. The more people who learn that flower shops are going out of business today, the more people who will be inspired to help them grow tomorrow.
